Attendance:
All face-to-face sessions must be attended in order to complete the program. If a session is missed, the policy is that it can be made up by attending the same session in a subsequent program. This is not recommended. At best it will delay completion of the program by 6-12 months. There is no guarantee that there will be a subsequent program.
All course requirements including the final project must be completed no later than 60 days after the last face-to-face session. After that deadline, an addition fee of $75 will be assessed for each 30 calendar days beyond the original deadline. There will be no exceptions. No certificate of completion will be awarded until the all course requirements have been completed and all financial obligations have been satisfied.
CDF participants work with a cohort group. Missing a class and hoping to attend another session NOT advisable and is actively discouraged. Should a participant have a severe emergency/conflict and have to miss class, they can take the same class session with another cohort if one is available. There is a fee of $50 for this change. Such arrangements and payment must be made in advance and approved by the applicable instructor.
Missing two sessions requires re-registration for the next program. Half the standard tuition will be required if the sessions are available within one year only. There is no guarantee that there will be a subsequent program. All other situations require re-registration and full tuition payment.
On rare occasions when it is in the best interest of the program, arrangements can be made in advance for a session in one program to be substituted fro the same session in another program. This must be arranged prior to the start of the program. Decisions will be on a case by case basis.
